Jim VanAntwerp
Sr. Vice President of Business Development

Jim has been the Senior Vice President of Business Development since February 2014. His role is to expand the knowledge and presence of Tri-Tec Manufacturing & Flux Drive, Inc. products in the US Military worldwide and ensure we are building the most reliable products possible.

Jim retired as the Division Technical Director (DTD) for Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport where he was a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES).  NUWC division Keyport’s primary mission was in support of weapons, combat systems and technologies.  Jim is a certified DAWIA level three acquisition professional.  Prior to that, Jim served as the Engineering and Planning Manager at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, accepting that appointment in March 2003.  In this position, he was responsible for the technical specifications and repair procedures for all non-nuclear aspects of ship modernization and repair. 

During his career, Jim has been the recipient of numerous awards for Outstanding Performance, Special Act awards and several leadership awards from local community organizations.  In 2004, he was awarded the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award for his work with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) at the corporate level and for his success at refocusing the Engineering Department on sustainable improvements. In 2011, he received the Manager of the Year award from the Federal Managers Association.  In 2014 Jim was awarded the Superior Civilian Service Award, the highest award the CNO can give a civilian.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
