Electro-Mechanical Technician Junior

Synopsis: We are looking for a skilled technician to join our team designing and building valve actuator products for marine applications
The Technician’s responsibilities include: • Assembling electromechanical valve actuator prototypes and test units. • Designing and building test fixtures and cables. • Testing prototype assemblies and subassemblies. • Conducting and recording first article product tests. • Assisting manufacturing activities during times of high demand. There is potential for periodic domestic travel to U.S. Naval bases and shipyards. 2. Required Skills and Experience • High attention to detail and pride of workmanship • Proficiency at assembling, dismantling, and repairing various items • General knowledge of geared mechanics • Basic understanding of how electronics control mechanical assemblies • Competency soldering and crimping wires and connectors • Familiarity working with electronics/electronic circuit boards • Organized, independent, and effective at prioritizing competing tasks and projects • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) 3. Bonus Skills • 3D CAD (SolidWorks) • 3D printing • Laser Cutting • Wood working, milling machine, or lathe experience • Strong writing, grammar, and spelling skills 4. Qualifications • U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to defense contracts requirements. Background check will be performed. • 1-2 years of relevant experience • High School diploma/GED • Trade School diploma (preferred)
$24.00-$30.00 per hour
